Fresstyle Rules & Policies
¨ ALL skaters must sign in on the Freestyle Sign In Sheet, and complete ALL information. Coaches must ensure their students know and follow sign in procedure.
¨ Skaters should wear appropriate attire. Long hair should be pulled back off of the face in order to provide clear vision.
¨ Skaters are not allowed to form groups and chat on the ice, or stand by the boards for any length of time.
¨ Spins are practiced in center ice. Jumps are practiced at either end of the ice. Please pay attention when working in the Lutz corners!!!
¨ Coaches always have the right of way on the ice… a student can NEVER tell a coach to move!!!  The only exception would be that a student on a lesson skating to program music or dance music would have the priority above all.
¨ Skaters on skill lessons have the second right-of-way.
¨ Skaters not on a lesson, but skating to their music have the third right-of-way; HOWEVER, coaches and skaters should make every attempt to move out of the way~ as much a s possible.
¨ Coaches have priority using the music box. Please use the CD/ Cassette Box.
¨ Skaters MUST FILL IN THEIR HOLES before they leave the ice. This goes for coaches, too.
¨ Parents are asked to stand clear of the dasher boards (rink side). Parents are not permitted to “coach” their child, unless they are part of the coaching staff.
¨ Drinks with lids are permitted. NO GLASS.
¨ Gum should NOT be chewed while skating due to choking/ aspiration risk.
¨ Skaters are not permitted to use markers on the ice. COACHES ONLY!!!
¨ Hockey players receiving Power Skating Lessons can wear full gear and utilize stick for positioning, but NO PUCKS, CONES, OR BALLS will be used on Freestyle or Public Sessions.
¨ Skaters MUST immediately leave the ice once the lesson (or time) he/ she signed in for is over. EVERYONE   (Skaters AND Coaches) MUST  IMMEDIATELY leave the ice when the session is over.  IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO DELAY AN ICE CUT.
¨ Both Coaches and Parents are responsible for their skaters. Please ensure skaters understand these rules!
¨ Coaches must refrain from speaking loud or hollering to the point of being disruptive to the other coaches or skaters.
