Beach Blades Synchronized Skating

What is Synchronized Skating?
SYNCHRONIZED SKATING is a growing discipline of figure skating characterized by speed, accuracy, intricate formations and breathtaking transitions performed by teams of 8-20 athletes. Thousands of athletes annually compete in U.S. qualifying competitions, culminating in the top two senior-level teams being selected to represent the United States at the World Synchronized Skating Champion.

Who are the Beach Blades?

Team Philosophy
The Beach Blades Synchronized Skating Team was established in 2006 with the unique philosophy of skaters becoming their personal best.  Through self discipline, physical and mental strength, teamwork, leadership, structure, and sportsmanship, the Beach Blades Synchronized Skating Teams strive to be the best that they can be.  Process goals, instead of outcome goals, are the team's focus throughout the year.

Coaches' Mission Statement
As a synchronized skating coach the emphasis is to train athletes to accept challenges and to believe that obstacles can be transformed into opportunities. Through dedicated practice skaters understand that learning turns into leadership and new experiences will become memories. Most importantly skaters learn that doing your best is better than being the best.

Coaches' Philosophy
Synchronized Skating promotes the development of the individual skater to accomplish challenging maneuvers and formation through enhanced skating techniques and team work. Skaters have fun while developing physical stamina and physical fitness. Synchronized skating can help reduce the stress from school work and provide a positive social environment.
